Christmas Lights Switch On
The Annual Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Friday 21st November 2025
Sherwood Drive will be closed to traffic for the whole day and the Christmas Market will be open from 12.00 noon.
Street entertainers will be around throughout the event and look out for some extra special visitors!!
There will be entertainment from the performance area from 4.30pm including Choirs from Parkgate and Forest View Academies and the Dukeries Community Band will play festive music leading up to the switch on which will be performed by Santa Claus at 6pm assisted by the Junior Town Council.
